Comparison Metrics with Segmentation and Benchmark Features

PoliteMail has several tools designed to make comparing metrics easy and informative.  These statistics can be used to evaluate your messages over time, providing key insights on how to design and send emails.

Compare

To compare email messages, choose two (hold the Control key to select 2 lists) from the Messages Data Grid and then click Compare.

Metrics should be read from left to right.  The number displayed is the differential between the first to the second, in percentage terms.  In this example, the Open Rate has increased 15.8%, and the Read Rate has increased 77.7%.  You can also scroll down and see the results in a list view.

Segmentation Reporting

Segmentation is a way you can compare how your email message performed by different distribution lists.  Let’s say you have 3 different distribution lists covering the North, South, and West regions of the United States and you’ve sent an email message to all of them.  You want to know the metrics for each list and how they compare to each other.

To start, double-click on the message in the Messages Data Grid to go the Metrics page.  Once there, click on Segmentation.

You will now see a list of all the distribution lists you sent your message to.  You can either click on one specific list to see the metrics, or choose two to compare them (hold the Control key to select two lists).

Benchmark Reporting

The Benchmark feature allows you to compare your specific email to the company average of email sends. Benchmark is currently the average results for your company, for all PoliteMail senders within your account.
